Uh oh the sticks are getting bigger…
I have had a bunch of eggs hatch, and have also been finding wild babies in the yard (and on the side of my house… they are EVERYWHERE!). I’m having a second wave of eggs hatching now, and the older babies are starting to outgrow their little house. I was hoping I’d have more time before my kitchen becomes an insectarium again (I was at least hoping I’d have the time/money to put a bug table in the office), but I guess not.

These are Megaphasma denticrus babies—the longest insect in North America. Having a bunch of these will be an adventure. Their parents gave me enough trouble and there were only two of them. Time to drag out the aquarium!

March 20, 2018 / going to use the “stick babies 2018” tag for these guys if ya wanna follow them!
